creation of a rubyurl fails (for non URL input)
Reported by peterv | March 22nd, 2008 @ 03:32 AM
Reproducible: YES
As an end user trying to create a rubyurl for this url failed:
"about their professional link to the Leuven region"
Ha ... turns out when pasting with the middle mouse click that this is not a URL after all ... Probably that was the problem ...
Still strange that I was asked to generate a bug report instead of getting a message telling me that this was probably not a valid URL.
I now just reproduced the problem and this was the error report:
+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
OH NOEZ! UR LYNKZ IZ BROKEN
If you have a moment, you might submit a bug report to explain what happened so that we can try to fix it for you. :-)
Go Back
+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
Actually, it might be nice to have a ... target="_blank" ... attribute
to the link to the lighthouse link, so that the original error message
remains on screen.
Thanks,
Peter Vandenabeele

We're assuming that you'll always be posting a URL. I'll look to get this fixed in the near future though.
